❤️ Weekly Pulse

Has a small but temporary solution become a real problem?

There are no Major Arcana cards in this week’s spread, and the last time that happened was 26 March 2026 in the Final Pulse titled “The Measure Was Wrong”. That immediately changes the tone after approximately six months of much heavier forecasts.

Major Arcana tends to bring the bigger material, identity, direction, endings, beginnings, deep patterning, major choices, events that feel consequential or demanding. When those cards keep appearing, life can feel like it is asking a lot of you.

This week does not look like that.

A spread with no Major Arcana after a long run of Major-heavy forecasts can reasonably be read as a change in pressure.

This does not feel like a week of enormous revelations, defining moments or dramatic turning points. It feels much more ordinary than that. But ordinary does not mean unimportant.

The phrase I heard when I looked at these cards was minor skirmishes. And by minor skirmishes, I mean the little things that are easy to dismiss because they do not look important enough to deal with right now.

The slightly annoying thing you keep tolerating. The small problem you keep working around. The thing that is not quite functioning properly, but has not become inconvenient enough for you to deal with yet.

It’s like having a small pebble in your shoe.

At first, it is manageable. You adjust your foot. You change the way you walk. You keep going. But if you leave it there long enough, that tiny piece of gravel can rub your skin raw.

Small things can become bigger when they are repeated, and that works both ways.

One small improvement may not appear to change very much.

Neither does one better decision, one useful habit, one conversation, one adjustment, one extra layer of support. But repeat enough of those small improvements and, over time, they become something much larger.

That is the energy of this week. Not one enormous breakthrough, but the cumulative effect of the small things.

Past: Five of Pentacles

The Five of Pentacles suggests there has been an area of life that is slightly under-resourced.

Something is not getting enough.

That could be time, money, attention, rest, support, affection, structure, information, help or consideration.

It does not mean you are falling short on every level. It may simply be one pocket of your life where you have been making do with less than you actually need. And when something remains under-resourced for long enough, you begin compensating for it. Just like that pebble in your shoe that makes you adjust your foot, then walk a different way …

Which brings us to the Seven of Swords.

Present: Seven of Swords

The Seven of Swords often has a reputation for deception, but I do not think that is what it is showing here.

I think it is showing the workaround.

You adapt. You manoeuvre around the problem. You find another route. You patch something together. You tell yourself it is easier to work around it than deal with it directly.

A temporary workaround can be perfectly sensible. We all use temporary solutions. The problem begins when the temporary solution becomes the permanent system.

Eventually, you can spend far more time and energy compensating for a problem than it would have taken to solve it.

You may even forget that you are compensating. It simply becomes the way you do things.

This week asks you to notice where that is happening.

Where have you become unusually skilled at living with something that does not actually work very well?

Where are you managing around an irritation instead of removing it?

Where are you repeatedly accommodating something that could be improved?

There may not be a major problem here.

That is exactly the point.

Deal with the small thing before it becomes one.

Future: Four of Wands

The Four of Wands moves this into a much more supportive place.

You stop compensating for what is not working and start creating something that works better for you.

That might mean changing an arrangement, fixing an ongoing inconvenience, putting better support in place, having the conversation you have been avoiding, or simply deciding that you are no longer going to keep adapting yourself around the same problem.

Nothing dramatic has to happen. You just go ahead and fix the irritating thing.

The Four of Wands suggests creating an environment, structure or arrangement that supports you instead of requiring you to constantly compensate for it.

Small adjustments can make life noticeably easier when you stop tolerating the thing that keeps causing friction.

You add the thing that has been missing. You organise something differently. You make one practical decision that removes a surprising amount of unnecessary effort.

And suddenly, you have more energy and attention available for the things that actually need you, and the things you need to do.

Soul Expression: Two of Cups

The Two of Cups in the Soul Expression position brings this back to your relationship with yourself, and more specifically, to the way you treat yourself when something in your life is not working well.

Are you on your own side? Are you a good friend to yourself? Would you ask someone you cared about to keep putting up with something that was unnecessarily making their life harder? Would you tell them their needs were inconvenient? Would you expect them to constantly adapt to something that could reasonably be changed?

Probably not.

Being supportive of yourself is not only about speaking kindly to yourself. It is also about taking your own needs seriously enough to do something about them, like finally sorting out the annoying thing you have been putting up with for six months.

Context: Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands sits underneath the whole reading as the potential available to you this week. It suggests there is energy for growth, but that growth may not come from one big idea or dramatic change. It may come from finally dealing with the smaller things that have been quietly using up your time, attention or effort.

When you stop compensating for what is not working, you free up energy that can be used somewhere more useful. Fixing an irritating problem, improving an arrangement, adding better support or making one practical change can seem minor in isolation, but the effect can be larger than expected because you are no longer spending energy managing around the same issue.

The same principle works in the positive direction. One useful change may not look significant when you make it, but neither does the next one, or the one after that. Over time, those small decisions accumulate. They begin to make life easier, improve how something functions and create momentum that would never have come from continuing to tolerate what was not working.

That is where the Ace of Wands becomes important in this spread.

The potential for growth is there, but it may come through in a very ordinary way this week. You might simply feel motivated to sort something out, improve something small or stop putting up with an inconvenience you have been working around for too long.

Small things become much bigger when they are repeated. The irritating ones create friction over time, while the useful ones build momentum.

This week is about addressing the little skirmishes so you can redirect that energy into growing something bigger that works with you and for you, rather than against you.

🌿 Life Area Breakdown

❤️ Relationships
Look for the small things you have been accommodating because they did not seem serious enough to address. A recurring irritation, an uneven arrangement, a conversation that keeps getting postponed, or a need that keeps getting pushed aside can start taking up more space than expected.

This week favours dealing with those things while they are still manageable. Being on your own side does not mean becoming inflexible. It means not repeatedly making yourself the person who has to absorb the inconvenience.

💼 Work & Purpose
Pay attention to the workaround that has quietly become part of the job. A clumsy system, repeated admin, unclear process, missing support or inefficient way of doing something may be using far more time and attention than you realise.

Fixing one small operational problem can free up energy for work that actually moves something forward. This is a good week to improve how something functions rather than adding more on top of it.

💰 Money & Resources
Small financial leaks deserve attention, especially the ones that have become so familiar you barely notice them. This could be unnecessary spending, paying for something that no longer serves you, under-resourcing something important, or repeatedly choosing a cheaper workaround that ends up costing more over time.

The question is not only what something costs upfront, but what it costs to keep managing without the right solution.

🧠 Personal Growth
Personal growth this week can be as simple as noticing where you keep making life harder for yourself because you have become used to compensating.

You do not need a major breakthrough to make meaningful progress. One small decision that supports you better can change the way you experience an entire part of your life.

⚡ Three Micro Moves for Momentum

1. Measure the cost of the workaround

Look at one temporary solution, repeated irritation or inefficient arrangement you have been living with. Work out what it is already costing you in time, energy, attention, money or effort. That will tell you whether the “small thing” is actually still small.

2. Fix one thing properly

Choose one issue you have been compensating for and deal with the actual problem instead of finding another way around it. Do not improve the workaround. Remove the need for it.

3. Add one thing that supports you better

Not every small change is about fixing a problem. Add one useful thing that makes life easier, more functional or more supportive. One good adjustment repeated over time can create just as much impact as removing an irritation.

🕯️ Deeper Contemplation

What does prolonged tolerance teach the world about your availability?

If you repeatedly accept inconvenience, poor treatment, under-resourcing, or arrangements that work against you, you are not only living with the consequences. You are also becoming accustomed to that quality of experience. It starts to feel normal. You keep making space for it, and because you keep making space for it, more of the same can continue to fit.

The moment you stop tolerating something, you change that availability. You stop participating in the same arrangement. You stop making room for the same behaviour. You stop organising yourself around the same inconvenience. What happens next can change because your response to the world has changed.

Think of it like decluttering. When you clear something out of a physical space, the room feels different before anything new comes in. The same can happen with patterns of tolerance. Removing one recurring irritation changes what you continue to make room for, because you are no longer carrying the message, “I guess this is just how it has to be.”

What changes in your experience of life when you stop making yourself available for what you no longer want to tolerate?
